RIVER THAMES

The River Thames  flows through southerm England.  It is the longest river entirely in England

and the  second longest on the United Kingdom, behind the River Severn.  Thames is best known because it passes through central London, the river   also passes alongside  other towns and cities for instantce Oxford, Reading,  Henley-on-Thames, Windsor, Kingston upon Thames and Richmond.
The river gives its name to several geographical and political entities, as,for instance,Thames Valley , Thames Gateway, Thames Estuary etc.The river lasts for 215 miles(346km)and is born at Thames Head in Gloucestershire and it goes to the North sea on the Thames Estuary via London.
